Our Story
We have been in business since 2021. Our mission is to provide exceptional training for string players of all ages. Catering to orchestral string enthusiasts within the greater New York City area, our teaching expertise encompasses all levels of playing experience. We welcome all students from complete beginners to advanced players. Choose from one of two locations in Inwood and Yonkers, or study in the comfort of your own home. Virtual classes are also an option.
Teaching Philosophy
Our goal is to help every student feel comfortable with their instrument so that musical skills can be developed in a healthy and enjoyable way. When a student has a solid foundation and can play with natural movements they will be free to spend more time thinking about the music. Once a player can produce a beautiful sound, the possibilities are endless! We are knowledgeable about published methods such as Suzuki and the Mark O’Connor approach. Elements of sight-reading, theory and music history are taught as part of each lesson.
